Plantain Crisps

Quick, easy salty snack!

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe plantains
  • Sunflower oil 
  • 1 tsp Sea salt 
  • 1  tsp Paprika 

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel your plantains 
  2. Use a mandolin to thinly slice your plantains into round discs 
  3. Heat 4 inches of sunflower oil until you can hear a bubble and carefully lower your plantains, don't put them all at once or they will stick together.
  4. Fry until golden and the oil stops rapidly bubbly, toss periodically to ensure the crisps don’t stick together or burn 
  5. Drain on a wire rack and let cool, they'll crisp up beautifully as they rest.
